About Spencer Houlihan

 

Spencer Houlihan was born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario, where he attended primary school at King George VI Public School and high school at Northern Collegiate Institute & Vocational High School.

Spencer graduated from the Griffith University School of Law in August of 2014 after first obtaining an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Research Specialization from Laurier University. He was called to the Ontario Bar in June of 2017.

Community sports have been an important aspect of Spencer’s life. Over his lifetime he has served his community by volunteering his time refereeing, coaching and taking on leadership positions within the Sarnia community. Spencer has been a long-standing member of the Sarnia Saints Rugby and Football Club, where he has been a part of the Board of Directors frequently over the last decade, and recently served as its President in 2021. As a member of the Board of Directors, Spencer has had an opportunity to work with several local charities, companies and unions to help build a strong program for participants of all ages. Spencer is also a member of the community parks committee, helping advise local government on how to best support the community while they make decisions on sport facilities.
